History of Thai Massage
Thai massage has its origins in India and probably arrived in the Kingdom along with Buddhism and is part of a larger system of health that includes movement, meditation and herbal medicine.
After Bangkok was sacked in 1767, King Rama I established Wat Chetupon (Wat Pho) to preserve what could be gathered and remembered of the medical works. To this day, Wat Pho is the headquarters of the Thai Traditional Medical School and the principal training centre for masseurs based on the Indian traditions.

Learn Thai Massage
Starting in 2009 we are offering short courses in Thai massage. Learn short routines such as a head and shoulder massage in a few days, or if you have enough time you can learn a full body massage. All our classes are held during the mornings and are based on learning through doing, so although there is some theory most of the tuition is taught by receiving and practising massage.
